Find out what DABV does

This is DABV

DABV is a Norwegian-developed passive technology that
intervenes in water sources and water transport systems
without chemicals, energy input or consumables.

How it works

How DABV is installed and what it does

DABV units are mounted externally on the pipe surface. No
modification to existing piping or equipment is required.
Mounted externally
DABV units are mounted externally on the pipe surface. No modification to existing piping or equipment is required. Installation does not open the host system, and unit configuration is determined during the assessment baseline.
Measured effects
Each installation begins with a baseline of the existing system, measured before installation. Measurements continue during installation when unit configuration needs adjustment to hit target values, and final readings are taken after the system stabilizes.
Continuous operation
The device requires no power connection and no chemical inputs. It contains no moving parts and adds no consumables. The host system's existing service schedule is unchanged.
Where DABV operates today
From hotel heating loops to greenhouse irrigation, from dairy water systems to drinking water wells.

Dairy Operations

Dairy Water Systems

Water quality affects how the rumen microbiome converts feed nitrogen into milk protein, and how scale and biofilm accumulate in chillers, heaters and parlor lines. DABV is installed externally on each, without chemicals and without maintenance added to the existing service schedule.

Greenhouse Operations

Hydronic heating & irrigation

In commercial greenhouses, DABV operates on hydronic heating systems and irrigation lines.

Annual district heating cost at Nams Tomato has been reduced by 20.0%. The greenhouse covers 4.6 hectares and contains 130,000 tomato plants in coir substrate.

Hotels and commercial buildings

Building optimization

DABV is installed on the hydronic heating system at Thon Hotel Storo in Oslo. Energy consumption has been reduced by 15%.

In most buildings, the dominant losses are not in the boiler or the chiller but in the pipework. Scale, corrosion and biofilm accumulate on heat transfer surfaces and inside circulation paths and reducing thermal performance.

Every installation begins with a baseline

Water chemistry, age, deposit load and operating profile vary from one installation to the next. The baseline determines the configuration.

DABV works within existing systems.

DABV is mounted externally on existing piping. The host system requires no retrofit, no new infrastructure and no change to operating routines. The unit operates passively from installation onward.

No power, no chemicals, no consumables.

The unit is a passive component on the supply line. It draws no power, adds nothing to the water and contains no parts that wear or expire.

External installation on existing piping.

Installation takes place on the outside surface of the existing pipe. The pipe is not cut, drained or modified. The host system continues to operate during fitting.

Passive component.

The unit is a passive component, on the same maintenance principle as a check valve or a strainer body: no moving parts, no power input, no consumables. Service intervals are set by the host system, not by the device.

Schedule a Technical Assessment.

The assessment evaluates the existing system, water chemistry and integration points.
